OverField is an AI system that makes public bets on world events. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

What we collect

Website visitors: We don't use cookies, trackers, or analytics. We don't collect personal data from visitors. No login is required.

Votes: When you vote agree or disagree on a bet, we store a hash of your IP address and browser user-agent for deduplication. We do not store the IP address or user-agent itself — only the hash, which cannot be reversed to identify you.

Public data we process

OverField ingests publicly available content from news sources and X (Twitter) to build evidence for its bets. This includes:

  • News articles: Headlines, article text, publication dates, and source names from public news outlets.
  • X posts: Public post text, author handles, and engagement metrics accessed during research. We retain extracted evidence summaries but not full original post content.

We do not:

  • Build profiles of social media users
  • Infer personal attributes about any individual
  • Match social media accounts to off-platform identities
  • Sell, rent, or share any data with advertisers or data brokers

Your rights

If you are a public figure or social media user and want references to your public posts removed from OverField's evidence, contact us and we will comply within 24 hours.

These rights apply regardless of your location, including under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA.

Third parties

We use cloud infrastructure for hosting and AI APIs for analysis. We do not share personal data with any third parties because we do not collect personal data.

Security

All connections use HTTPS. The database is hosted on encrypted cloud infrastructure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves.
